A Thought For You

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all  the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember the UK's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words in January 2003, during his address to British ambassadors in London, he said::

"...I sometimes think it is a good rule of thumb to ask of a country: are people trying to get into it or out of it? It's not a bad guide to what sort of country it is."

Only  two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1.  Jesus  Christ
2.  The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your  freedom.

A Homeland for the Palestinians?  Why they?  How about all those others?

Ezekiel 33:2-4 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;  Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

National Strategy for Victory in Iraq
GOP.com 2005/11/30
The following document articulates the broad strategy the President set forth in 2003 and provides an update on our progress as well as the challenges remaining.
"The United States has no intention of determining the precise form of Iraq's new government. That choice belongs to the Iraqi people. Yet, we will ensure that one brutal dictator is not replaced by another. All Iraqis must have a voice in the new government, and all citizens must have their rights protected.   Rebuilding Iraq will require a sustained commitment from many nations, including our own: we will remain in Iraq as long as necessary, and not a day more."

Fallaci: Warrior in the Cause of Human Freedom
FrontPageMag.com 2005/11/30
...What to do about all this? Establish dialogue with Muslim leaders? Try to strengthen moderate Islam? Fallaci was dismissive of both options. Muslims have no intention of entering into genuine dialogue with non-Muslims, she said, and “I do not believe in moderate Islam. What moderate Islam? Is it enough not to cut heads off? Moderate Islam is another invention of ours.” Adopting Western dress, she said, was easy; adopting Western values was not.   Then Fallaci threw down the gauntlet to the multicultural, politically correct, and fearful. “There is not,” she asserted, “good Islam or bad Islam. There is just Islam. And Islam is the Qur’an. And the Qur’an is the Mein Kampf of this movement. The Qur’an demands the annihilation or subjugation of the other, and wants to substitute totalitarianism for democracy. Read it over, that Mein Kampf. In whatever version, you will find that all the evil that the sons of Allah commit against themselves and against others is in it.” As jarring as such language is to contemporary sensibilities, Fallaci here made a statement of fact that can be verified or disproved. And indeed: Islamic terrorists such as Osama bin Laden, Zarqawi, and others have never hesitated to quote the Qur’an copiously to justify their actions. It remains for those who identify themselves as moderate Muslims to convince violent Muslims that they are misusing the Qur’an – if indeed they are – and should lay down their arms. They have had no notable success in this so far.   Fallaci’s a voice of rare courage. ...we may hope – for all our sakes – that many others will be ready to step into the breach and speak the truth as she did, whatever the cost, as she did. As Oriana Fallaci so memorably demonstrated in her address on receiving the Annie Taylor Award, nothing less than our civilization itself is at stake.

Reaping What They Sow
FrontPageMag.com 2005/11/30
...The CPT’s diverse agendas perfectly illustrate the overlapping currents of the Left, whose sole common thread is hatred of the United States. The insight yesterday’s kidnappings (and its attendant outlandish charges of espionage) provide into the psyche of our common enemy might shake a less ideologically committed entity, but CPT proves it still has not gotten the message that there are some forces darker even than the Great Satan. These four CPT activists may soon illustrate another truth: totalitarians always murder their enablers first.

Abdullah the realist
The Jerusalem Post 2005/11/20 (updated from 11/19)
...a serious Jordanian alternative or option is back on the table, after having been hidden for the last 20 years. But unlike the situation after the 1948 war, when Jordan occupied the West Bank and east Jerusalem, and until the 1967 war, the current scenarios focus on a Jordanian-Palestinian federation or confederation.   Economically, Israel might also join this structure, in the form of a customs union or even common market for goods, and perhaps labor. The main Jordanian contributions to this relationship would be stability, security and experience in providing necessary government services. ...In the rapidly changing regional context, Jordan's influence is likely to rise significantly, as the Syrian regime becomes weaker, and the future of Iraq remains uncertain. In the past, Jordan's freedom of movement and the ability to extend its regional role, including through more cooperative links with Israel, was hampered by the involvement of Saddam Hussein, on one side, and Hafez Assad on the other. With both now gone, Jordan has the opportunity to become a significant regional actor, terror attacks not withstanding. In this context, institutionalizing the political relationship between Jordan and the Palestinian Authority would contribute measurably to regional stability. ...

***** Tragedy as Impetus in Jordan *****

Washington Post 2005/11/16
Jordan's long-running war against al Qaeda has been kicked into a new phase by popular indignation over last week's bombings. A senior official told me that Jordan is considering aggressive new anti-terrorism operations that will seek to capture or kill Abu Musab Zarqawi and his top lieutenants. When I asked King Abdullah about the campaign, he explained, "Zarqawi brought the war to our doorstep, and there's a feeling in Jordan that we'd like to bring him to justice." ...The tough new moves are only part of Jordan's response to the hotel bombings. What's more surprising, in some ways, is that the king has decided to accelerate his plans for political and economic reform. Indeed, even as the king is unleashing the Mukhabarat against al Qaeda, he contends that he wants to limit its intrusion into Jordanian politics and private life. ...Deputy Prime Minister Marwan Muasher argues: "We can no longer afford to accept this culture of blowing people up. From now on, there must be zero tolerance." ...Bolstered by popular anger over the hotel bombings, Abdullah has decided to step on the accelerator rather than the brake.

Did Israel have Prior Knowledge of the Amman 11/9 Terror Attacks?
Global Research 2005/11/14
...Abu-Mazin [Mahmud Abbas], the leader of the Palestinian National Authority, is seriously ill. And many believe that his Fatah party may not win with such a leader, that it will definitely not win the parliamentary elections scheduled to take place in the next few months. So for a very large number of players - for the Americans, for Israel, for Sharon, for the Egyptians - [Palestinian Minister of Civilian Affairs Muhammad] Dahlan would be the optimal player and politician to replace Abu-Mazin. In that sense, these explosions, and in particular the murder, as a result of one of the blasts, of Bashir Nafi, the Palestinian National Authority's military intelligence chief in the West Bank, is, from my point of view, a clearing of the way for Dahlan."...

Worrying signs from Amman
yNet News 2005/11/14
...
a debate was held on Jordanian television in which participants refused to recognize the fact that several Muslim groups have embedded themselves in a culture of murder.  They claimed there is only one Islam, and whoever deviates from its religious message is not Muslim.
Terrorists not Muslims
By excluding the murderers from the boundaries of Islam, there is no possibility to study the weakness of a society that produces murderers wholesale.  Self-criticism is possible only when a society dares recognize the fact that the dregs of that society are, in fact, part of that society.
To our incredible sorrow, there are few signs to suggest that this process has gripped Muslim society.  Denial is the heritage of the masses and the heritage of the intellectuals. The claim that it is impossible for Muslims to carry out such a loathsome act, and therefore the culprits cannot possibly be Muslim, is simply understood by many Jordanians: If the attack wasn't carried out by Muslims, then it must have been carried out by someone else.

Islamic Radicals Plan World Revolution from Temple Mount
Arutz Sheva 2005/11/13
Islamic radicals have been using the Temple Mount as a focal point for planning and preaching the establishment of a world Islamic state with Jerusalem as its capital. One of the radical groups operating on the Temple Mount is Hizab Altahrir (The Islamic Liberation Party), which espouses an ideology similar to Al Qaeda. Hizab Altahrir’s network spans most Western European countries. The party puts Islamic revolution and an uncompromising form of Jihad (holy war) at the top of its political agenda. The group advocates subjecting the entire world to Islamic law (Shariya), and destroying non-believing nations and religions. ...

The Origins Of The Refugee Problem - Putting to rest the canard that Israel caused the Arab refugee problem.
aish.com 2005/11/13
The Arab version of the tragic fate of Arab refugees who fled from the Palestine Mandate before and during the 1948 war and from Israel immediately after the war, has so thoroughly dominated the thinking of even well-educated historians, commentators, journalists and politicians, that it is almost a given that the creation of the State of Israel caused the flight of almost a million hapless, helpless and hopeless Arab refugees. Israel caused the problem and thus Israel must solve the problem.  This assertion, although viscerally engaging and all but canonized by the anti-Israel propaganda which makes it the core of its narratives of the Middle East conflict, is unequivocally and totally false. ...

Jordan’s GID Pushes Israel’s Mossad Aside

Smothering democracy in Mideast
International Herald Tribune 2005/11/13
In Jordan and through almost all of the Middle East, those seeking democratic reform say the central role of each country's secret police force, with its stealthy, octopus-like reach, is one of the biggest impediments to democratic change. In the decades since World War II, as military leaders and monarchs smothered democratic life, the security agencies have become a law unto themselves.  In Jordan, one of the region's most liberal countries, the intelligence agencies vet the appointment of every professor, ambassador and important editor. Like the networks of informants in the old Soviet bloc, the mukhabarat eavesdrops with the help of thousands of Jordanians who are on its payroll, though the exact figure is unobtainable.  The secret police chiefs live above the law. The last head of the Jordanian mukhabarat routinely overruled the smoking ban on Royal Jordanian Airways, lighting up as he pleased. No one dared challenge him. ...

Daniel 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
Comments: The King is beginning to stand up and out like a sore thumb. The bombing was the catalyst to bring him to the forefront and the 'world' will rally behind him. By 'peace', or in the name of peace, he shall 'destroy many'. His stand against terror is what gets the 'crown given unto him' I think, and he will go forth 'conquering and to conquer'.  Meanwhile, Christendom (those who should know and see this coming better than anyone) goes on fat, dumb, happy, and clueless, blinded by tradition, whereas, knowing the scriptures and being watchmen as they should, they should rather be shouting from the rooftops of the impending danger ahead!

...Stitched up by their British allies, the Hashemites subsequently had to give up their ambition of creating (and preferably ruling) a united Arab Middle East. But as consolation prizes, the brothers Faisal and Abdallah were instead installed as client kings in the new British territories of Iraq and Transjordan.  Many assassinations, coups and bloody wars later, the Hashemites have long since been swept from Iraq and their traditional home in what is now Saudi Arabia. But in Jordan this week, when three Islamic suicide bombers killed 56 people in the capital of Amman and injured scores more, thousands of red-and-white keffiyahs took to the streets. ...

Behind the Amman Hotel Attack

Farewell to Europe?
The Washington Times 2005/11/10
...
It is now unmistakable that Europe faces a "perfect storm" of socioeconomic, demographic, military and Islamist challenges. As a result, the EU is poised in the coming decades to become, at best, a strife-ridden, second-rate power, unwilling or unable to help defend the Free World. Alternatively, it may simply cease as an entity or perhaps even as part of the Free World.   In the last half-century, Western Europe's Muslim population has exploded from less than 250,000 to between 15 million and 20 million. Though this remains only a small percentage of the EU's total inhabitants, the Muslim subset is both rapidly growing and has become progressively radicalized.   Today, an intolerant and violent extremist political ideology known as Islamofacism has taken hold throughout Muslim communities in France and much of Western Europe. Moreover, this fast-spreading strain is on its way to becoming the dominant face of Islam in the EU. It is profoundly anti-Western, supported directly or indirectly by Saudi sources, and marked by wholesale rejection of such fundamental European values as democracy, secularism, separation of church and state, human rights and modernity.

"Each religious community (millet) would enjoy the right to organize its social, cultural and educational life in accordance with its religious beliefs."  A de facto millet system already is in place in parts of France, Taheri noted: "In these areas, all women are obliged to wear the standardized Islamist hijab while most men grow their beards to the lengths prescribed by the sheiks."  Unless the invertebrates in charge can grow spines, France seems poised to become what Spain was before Ferdinand and Isabella, a patchwork of principalities where Moors ruled some communities, Christians others, with constant tension between them.  It seems inconceivable that a civilized Western nation would bargain away to a handful of thugs its democratic principles and sovereignty over much of its territory. But the Islamists may well succeed. For though what the Islamists believe in is vile and reactionary, it is something. The French believe in nothing.

Terrorists: Swimming in Saudi Money
FrontPageMag.com 2005/11/8
...The Saudi infiltration of American Islam has been as frighteningly quiet as it has been pervasive. Virtually every imam at an American mosque is a Wahhabi – Saudi trained, funded, and vetted – a religious leader who promotes a virulent brand of fundamentalist Islam with the ultimate aim of imposing Shari’a law upon the non-Moslem world. Even more frightening, our prison system is staffed by Moslem chaplains who are products of Saudi training. As a consequence, anti-American Islamofascist ideology is being taught to some of the most dangerous, unstable, and violent members of American society. Meanwhile, the mosques continue to beat the drums for anti-Israeli causes including fundraising for groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and other terror outfits ...It is time that we accept the fact that our enemies are sophisticated and deadly in more than suicide attacks. We need to fight terrorists and those who support them on all fronts including the financial battles. Responsible Americans – acting as individuals and pressuring larger organizations – can make a critical difference in this war for survival.
